Dan Lucas is the studio engineer behind so many records produced at Anchor Baby Recording Co. From Punk Rock band Maid of Ace to his own band Salvation Jayne, he has worked with many artists over the years and continues to produce great records for new artists all the time.

Mic choice and position in a room can make a world of difference to a sound, and Dan has a particular skill for getting this perfect. He also has a naturally keen ear for detail which can make a break a project like this.

Dan likes to collect vintage gear. He has an array of amps, mics, guitars and basses from many different brands and has a particular taste for a good Marshall.

Joe is a guitarist and vocalist in several bands. Most notable current projects are original Rock band Black Sun Down and Kent covers band Wickerman.

He is also an avid collector of guitars, everything from Gibson and Fender to PRS and Suhr. It’s not just guitars though, he also has a collection of amps and a huge array of effects and was the first in the team to get a Kemper and use it regularly for live work as well as in the studio.

Joe is the main tech guy in the team. All the behind-the-scenes stuff is overseen by him. He also can’t help himself when it comes to gadgets. In fact, that’s how we ended up doing this in the first place because he just had to try a Kemper, and the rest is history…

Dan Leggatt is a professional guitar player and YouTuber. He has an uncompromising ear for detail in sound which makes him a great candidate for creating profiles.

Dan also provides online tutorials in crafting your own sound. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a great sound, and Dan is the master of helping you make the most of the gear you have.

Dan is great at dialling in a sound from any piece of gear very quickly that is very satisfying, a skill perfect for a reviewer such as himself.
